College of Innovation: A consultant to the ADB Project ‘TA 8136 – MYA: Myanmar Tourism Master Plan’
October 1, 2012, the College of Innovation won bidding on the ADB Project ‘TA 8136 – MYA: Myanmar Tourism Master Plan’. This project is led by Prof. Dr. Walter Jamieson, Director of Service Innovation Program. This technical assistance aims to assist the Myanmar’s Ministry of Hotels and Tourism (MOHT) undertake the preparation of the master plan and related activities over a period of 6 months.

Welcome new MSI faculty
Service Innovation Program welcomed Dr. Kannapa Pongponrat to join the MSI faculty in October 2012. Dr. Kannapa Pongponrat received her Ph.D. in Regional and Rural Development Planning from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. She has worked on a number of issues related to community participation in tourism planning, training for tourism strategic planning, waste management in tourist destination and participatory approach for sustainable development. She served as social expert for projects of EU, CIDA-AIT development projects in Southeast Asia, British Council, Thai government agencies and SCG PAPER. Her extensive experience would be valuable to the program and MSI students.
